Tim Lafferty

Co-founder

Tim leads the intelligence side of Abisam. His background is in statistics, mathematics, and machine learning, with a Georgia Tech foundation and years spent on the question of why a model behaves the way it does. He works across traditional machine learning and modern LLM applications: model evaluation, hallucination and error reduction, drift detection, retrieval and memory quality, prompt and context optimization, and token and infrastructure cost reduction. He is equally comfortable with the data underneath a system, including standardization, normalization, and entity resolution. When an AI system is inaccurate, expensive, or unpredictable, Tim finds the measurable reason and the smallest change that fixes it. He works directly with client teams rather than through a layer of intermediaries, and he cares more about a system that keeps working than one that demos well.

Bob

Co-founder

Bob leads the system side of Abisam. He brings more than 20 years of architecture and infrastructure experience, spanning production deployment, system integration, performance, scalability, reliability, and cost management. His focus is the environment that intelligence depends on: data pipelines, cloud architecture, API design, and production monitoring. He designs systems that stay dependable under real load and real data, and he optimizes infrastructure so that reliability does not come at an unsustainable cost. Where a model may be sound but the surrounding system cannot support it, Bob makes the platform stable, secure, and efficient. Like Tim, he works directly with client teams rather than through account management. His measure of success is a system that runs quietly and predictably long after the engagement ends.

Tim determines why the intelligence is not performing correctly. Bob ensures the surrounding system can support it reliably, securely, and efficiently.

How Abisam works

You work directly with the founders doing the work. There is no consulting layer between you and the engineering, no rotating cast of junior staff, and no incentive to stretch an engagement past the point of usefulness.
